Who Qualifies For The Bursary Or Student Loan From NSFAS?
The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has officially opened the 2025 application procedure.
Applications at the moment are open and will close on 15 December 2024.
*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding
To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant must meet the following requirements:
• Be considered a South African citizen or copyright who originates from a house by using a combined gross domestic earnings that doesn't exceed R350 000 for every annum.
• Individuals with disabilities qualify if their combined residence money does not exceed R600 000 per annum.
• SASSA recipients automatically qualify for funding and need not submit any evidence check here of earnings.
*** Loan Scheme for the Missing Middle
The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open to all South African citizens and permanent citizens from homes with combined R350 000 and R600 000 for each annum.
Applicants are reminded to supply the right Identity Document numbers, names, and surname, as mirrored inside their South African ID.
NSFAS only funds individuals who are learning or plan to study in a general public university or TVET college in South Africa.
All students who wish to study in any of the public universities and TVET colleges should apply timeously and not to wait until the last day.
Learners do not have to wait for matric results to apply for NSFAS. They should apply now and avoid delays in the processing of their application.
